The Waterfalls at Marleshwar lies in Ratnagiri district near
Sangameshwar in the state of Maharashtra. The word Marleshwar has been derived
from the name of the cave in the same name dedicated to Lord Shiva.
In Marleshwar, there are 30 small waterfalls that sprout out
and is such a magnificent sight during the monsoons. This phenomenon in nature
is situated in the Sahyadiri range .The Marleshwar Yatra which takes place during the Makar Sankranti is a major event of this temple.
The best time to visit he falls is in the months of August
and September, when the weather is cool and there will be moderate rains. The
smaller waterfalls will be active at that time. Since the waterfall is not a
perennial one. It will be disappointing otherwise in summer.
How to reach
Marleshwar is 18 kms from Devrukh and 30 kms from Sangameshwar. One has to go to Maral village, which is 14 kms from Devrukh. And after that 3 km road is by motorway and 1 km is by foot. Direct State Transport buses are available to go to Marleshwar from Devrukh.

By Rail : There is no direct access for Konkan
railway. But there are few MSRTC buses which ply towards Railway station and
access for railway station is Sangameshwar & Ratnagiri.
