Mashem is the small village in South Goa, Surrounded with beautiful Coconut trees.The location is amidst the greenery of plantations and ocean roars form the west. The air is sweet, moist and clean and the seawater is crystal clear, in its natural form. The atmosphere is serene and the calmness of the sea and shores alike are reassuring in these hectic days of today. Offers  peace and serenity to independent travelers.
Mashem is come under the Canacona Taluk, south Goa, It is bounded on the north by the taluka of Quepem, on the northeast by Sanguem, on the south by the state of Karnataka, and on the west by the Arabian Sea. It is easily accessible from Mumbai. Bangalore as it is connected NH -17.

                                                    Beautiful sunrise at Galgibag River
The Galgibag River originates in the state of Karnataka and flows into the Canacona Taluka. This 15 km long river acts as a southern natural boundary between the Talpona Beach and Galgibag villages 
                                 
The beautiful deserted beach stretch of Galgibag is a turtle nesting site for the  endangered Olive  Ridley turtles. it is situated at the end of South Goa, it a very net & clean beach where you can found privacy with lot of greenery, hardly few tourist would be found there, you can enjoy a romantic walk.



we have a home in Mashem within walking distance of this beautiful beach. You can drive right up to the beach and park your vehicles there. The sleepy village is connected by bus service to the town of Margao. The village nestles between two rivers that are not yet connected by bridges (planned).

How to reach:
Get in
Route NH17 from Mumbai to Goa going past Panaji and Margao. Driving straight down takes you to Chaudi, the headquarters town of Canacona. A more scenic route is the coastal road (right after Navelim) going via Chinchinim, Assolna, Betul and Canaguinim.
Get out 
Canacona is connected by road and bus with Margao (to the north) and Karwar (to the south). Canacona is also along the Konkan Railway route, though not all fast trains stop here. The railway station is just outside the small Chaudi main town of the taluka (sub-district).
