Lingamala,Maharashtra,India

The Lingmala Waterfall is a breathtaking and absolutely awe-inspiring waterfall that is situated on the Mahabaleshwar-Pune Road.
Lingmala Waterfall is formed by Venna River. There are two waterfalls, one mini waterfall and the main waterfall which falls from a height of 500 feet. The mini waterfall is safe & suitable for swimming and playing in the water. One has to walk for 30 minutes to reach the viewpoint of main waterfall from the mini falls. There is no way to get into the water at main falls but visitor can get magnificent views of waterfall from the view point.
The Lingmala Waterfalls are the ideal picnic spot to enjoy with family and friends because of their ecstatic location, and should not be missed by nirvana seekers, photographers and nature lovers especially.
The best time to visit is from July to October, when the waterfall is at its peak flow. The waterfall can be dangerous in rainy season, so it is not at all advisable to swim.
How to Reach
Lingmala waterfalls are approximately six kilometres away from Mahabaleshwar bus station, and then it’s a climb to get to the top of the falls. If you’re heading there from Mumbai, it’ll take you at least six hours on the road. Since these falls mainly come to life during the monsoon, we suggest going there July onwards until December.
