Hyderabad or Indore to Raipur. Tourists can take a cab or a bus from Raipur to
reach Bijapur for the last leg of their journey. Of course, Hyderabad airport
even provides international flights.
By Road
By road, Bijapur is linked with Dantewada, Raipur, and
Vishakhapatnam. The National Highway 16 passes through the Bijapur town, the
district headquarters, and connects Bijapur to Jagdalpur towards east and
Nizamabad (Andhra Pradesh) in the west while passing through Maharashtra. NH 63
at Bhopalpatnam connects Bijapur to NH 202 leading to Warangal and
Hyderabad.
By Train
The railway station for Bijapur is at Dantewada, from where
only two passenger trains pass - one from Vishakhapatnam to Kirandul and the
other returning from Kirandul to Vishakhapatnam with stoppages of 1 minute
each. However, Vishakhapatnam is an important railway station from where trains
connect to all the major stations of India.
