Hedvi,Maharashtra,India

Hedvi is a small village located near the town of Guhanagar in the Konkan region of Maharashtra. It is primarily a pilgrim destination and attracts a lot of pilgrims from across the country. The Lord Ganesha temple is one of the important temples because of its historical significance.
Hedvi Beach is situated about 3 km from the Dasabhuj Ganesh Temple and is a black sand cove between the two white sand beaches of Guhagar, Velneshwar and Ganpatipule.
Hedvi beach is wellknown for its major attraction  Bahman Ghat, which is a huge, black monolith that reaches up to 35 feet in height and is said to be a very unique natural structure. Its significance is the naturally formed gorge that goes as deep as 20 feet and as wide as about 2 feet.
Monsoon should ideally be avoided due to slippery roads and high tides while summer gets too hot for comfort. This narrows down the best choice to the period immediately after monsoon, which is October or November and just before the summer heat strikes, which is March. You can enjoy the ideal weather during this period.
