At a distance of 3 km from Ratnagiri Bus Stand, Bhatye Beach is marvelous beach situated at Bhatye in Ratnagiri district on the Konkan coast of Maharashtra. This is one of the popular beaches in Ratnagiri region on the Konkan Coast.
Bhatye Beach is a wonderful beach in the background of the jagged Sahyadri mountain ranges provides a panoramic view of the surroundings. The length of the beach is approximately 1.5 km and is very flat and straight.
Bhatye Beach and Mandvi Beach are next to each other separated by a creek. One can enjoy the nature at its best here. The bluish water, vast expansion of silvery sands and the clean environs sprinkled with casuarina trees, Bhatye Beach is a perfect place to admire the mesmerizing sunset. 
The Ratnagiri Lighthouse and the famous Mandavi Beach are visible from Bhatye Beach. A famous temple of Zari Vinayak is situated at the end of the beach. There is also an agricultural research facility specializing in coconuts located quite close to this beach.
Bhatye is a popular picnic spot among locals and tourists. It has facilities for camel and horse rides. There are also numerous food stalls lining the beach which sell chat, tender coconut water and other fast food. Sea waves at the time of high tide are really a breathtaking experience at Bhatye.
How to Reach
By Air: The nearest airport is Mumbai. From there you can take a bus or hire a private cab to get to Bhatye.
By Rail: Nearest railhead is Ratnagiri 6 kms. on Konkan Railway. Taxis are available from there to take you to the beach.
By Road: The distance between Mumbai and Ratnagiri is 356 kms. State Transport buses are available from Mumbai, Kolhapur and Pune to Ratnagiri and also form Ratnagiri to Pawas via Bhatye.
