Deomali Hill, with an elevation of about 1,671 meters from sea level, is the highest peak in Odisha.
The beauty of the hill range and picturesque 5km-long flat surface atop the mountain, where an m shaped peak can be spotted, would leave a lasting impression on a visitors mind.
If you are interested in the tribal lifestyle and culture, you can learn a lot from the nearby tribal villages of Deomali such as Kandhas, Parajas, Bhumia, Malis and Bhotras, reside in the adjoining localities.
The best time to visit the hills is either during summer or winter.
How to Reach
Best option is to hire taxi from Semiliguda. You can also stay at Jeypore in Koraput which is about 3hrs from Deomali.
