Kashid Beach - Maharashtra - India

Kashid is a beach town on the shores of Arabian Sea, in the Raigad district of North Konkan region in Maharashtra. The town is located at the foot of the hills in the Phansaad Wildlife Sanctury which lies in the East, 30km from Alibaug which is in the North, and 25km from Murud town in the South. With mainly paddy fields and rivulets forming most of the town, Kashid beach which is a 3km stretch of white sand tucked in between two rocky hillocks with Casuarina groves all around the seashore is the main attraction.
Kashid is about 35 km from Alibaug, to the south of it and around 120 km from Mumbai.
A mystic calmness was lingering in the atmosphere. Only a musical sound of breeze through long suru and coconut trees on the silent paths. We got down from our cars and stood quite looking at the miracle of nature!
In the afternoon we walked around. White sand, blue sea, green mountains, rivulets and a 2 km stretch of beach between hillocks.
It was a breezy evening. We took nearby trails and wondered about passing through casurina groves and cypress trees. It was soothing. One of the finest beach in this part of the region, I thought!
Once you decide to explore the Konkan stretch then all you have to do is drive down the road from Alibaug, and you come across small hamlets of beach few unexplored and few very well known. One such beach is Kashid, very famous and popular among Mumbaikars.
The best part about this beach is its white and dazzling sand, bluish sea water and surrounding beauty.
The waves here are unusually high and can be paradise for surfing. Parasailing, Surfing, Scooters and other water sports are available here for enthusiasts.
The best part about these beach is it is less frequented by visitors during weekdays, but weekends are quite crowded.
Kashid has conventional sandy beach where you can roam around holding hands of your beloved and the beach is surrounded by hills. So the view is quiet appealing.

The route to this beach is very scenic.White sand beach nestled among tall suru trees making it an odd man out from the other beaches around it.

It was getting better and better as the sun was going down.
