Manori Beach is also a small beach which still remains
unexploited even after the urbanization of Mumbai. Manori Beach sides are
bordered with palm trees and cottages. There are Spanish style row houses and
bungalows which are sea facing. The main occupation of the people of this area
is fishing. The major festival of this area is Narali Punaw, which is mainly
celebrated with great festivities of dance and music by the kolis.
Marve is the closest and quietest. This lovely fishing village has beautiful bungalows and wide clean beaches.
From Marve beach you take a ferry which takes 10 Indian rupees as the fee and takes you to Manori in about 10 minutes or less. The ferry is fairly safe and so are the people. Once you get down at Manori there is a bus, auto rickshaw or a horse driven cart that you can take to the Manori village and from there it is about a five minute walk through this 'fishing community' village to the beach.
It is completely like a small village. Quite, cozy, greenery and pleasant. Environment is chilling, out of city. Away from the noise of honking, away from jam on road, away from sky high buildings and far away from concrete jungle.
Breath of fresh air, serene atmosphere, ignorance to all your worries – such is the virtue of Manori beach located in fishing village of Manori.
The northern end of Manori Beach is rocky and hilly which offers a wonderful panoramic view of Manori Beach. The beach fills up with water during high tide with no room for walking
Low hills along the beach offer you extraordinary views of sunset.
One must visit the place in the evening as it is the best
time to relax either with friends and with family. The beach was nice, amicable
and I had a great time.
