Kappad beach - Kerala - India

Located 16 km away from Kozhikode in the south India state of Kerala, the beautiful place called Kappad beach was discovered by the Portuguese explorer Vasco Da Gama during 15th century. 
It is nestled away from the hustle and bustle of the city, making it an ideal beach holiday destination for relaxation. How to Reach
By Train
Those who wish to reach Kappad by train can board a train to reach Kozhikode. The Kozhikode railway station is the nearest railway station located at a distance of 16 kms away from the Kappad town. Frequent trains are available from all corners of the country to reach the center of the town. Auto Rickshaws and private taxis can be hired to reach the heart of Kappad.
By Air
The closest airport is located in Kozhikode, that lies at a convenient distance of 45 kms from the town of Kappad. Frequent flights are available to the Kozhikode airport from all the major parts of the country. On arriving at the airport one can hire a taxi to reach the center of the Kappad town.
By Road
The breathtaking Landscapes of Kappad beach town can also be accessed by road route. A large number of KSRTC buses depart from the central Terminus of the Kozhikode. There is also a large number of buses plying between the various major cities of Kerala state. Buses are the cheapest and convenient mode of commutation.
