At the tip of the island about 5km from the market lies
Sitapur beach or beach No. 5. Also known as the ‘sunrise beach’ it is best
situated to enjoy the lovely sunrise early every morning. This postcard perfect
serene beach has two curved bays and clear blue waters which tempt one to go
for a swim.
This beach is exposed to the open sea and thus prone to
higher tides.This beach is best suited to watch Sunrise in the backdrop of
natural vegetations & limestone formations. The journey from the Jetty to
Sitapur beach itself is refreshing with green fields and variety of crops.

By Air
Veer Savarkar International Airport in Port Blair is the
nearest airport from Neil Island. You can board several jetties, boats or taxis
that are standing outside the airport, which will take you to Neil Island in
approximately half an hour. The Port Blair airport is well-linked with most of
Indian cities including New Delhi, Chennai, Mumbai, Kolkata and Bhubaneswar.
Some of the popular air carriers that ply from Port Blair airport are Air
India, Jet Airways, Spice Jet and Jal Hans.
By Water
The best way to reach Neil Island is through ferries and
boats, which is approximately 36 kilometres from Port Blair. To avoid long
queues during peak tourist season, make sure you book your ferry in advance.
Also, ensure that you check the daily timetable of the ferry so that you can
plan your trip accordingly.
