Nahargarh fort is located in Aravali Hill, little outside
Jaipur. The main activity in this fort is getting a panoramic view of the city
from the top of the fort.
There is a roof terrace in the fort that is open to
tourists. If you visit during a clear day, you can get a good view of the whole
city and the monuments in it. This fort is an important architectural
attraction in this city.
The fort was originally named Sudarshangarh, but it became
known as Nahargarh, which means abode of tigers. It is believed that the
development of this fort was obstructed by the spirit of a Rathore ruler, Nahar
Singh Bhomia.
Nahargarh Fort looks
stunningly beautiful at night when it's lit up. It provides wonderful view of
the Man Sagar Lake, Jal Mahal and Jaipur City.
