Dabhosa is a small village located at an altitude of about
1630 feet above sea level. Situated in the Thane district of the Jhawar Taluka,
the village of Dabhosa is known for its picturesque setting.
The hassle –free way to get to Dabhosa is to drive there by
taking the Jhawar- silvassa road. It is better to start the drive early in the
morning to avoid getting held up in traffic. The drive from Mumbai takes about
4 hours and from Nashik takes 2 hours.The way to the waterfall is from the village. We need to travel by the Silvassa Road to reach the Waterfall. Ask the locals and they will guide you with directions to the Silvassa Road. The are sign boards put up on trees leading to the waterfall. If you follow them, you can't get lost.
The Dabhosa Waterfalls is formed over Lendi River and
cascades down from a height of about 300 feet. Dabhosa waterfall is more
beautiful in the rainy season with full flow and lot of greenery around.
The entire depth of the fall can only be witnessed from a
flat summit near the fall. Situated along the edge of the mountain, this
secluded waterfall surroundings are serene and densely populated.

The whitish gushing water cascading from the rock faces

How to reach
By Air
Mumbai’s Chattrapti Shivaji International Airport is
the closest airplane terminal. It is 166 Km far.Taxis are easily available
outside the airport till the required destination.
By Train
Igatpuri serves as the nearest railway station to the hill
town located about 61 kms away on Central Railway. However Nashik is more
convenient comparatively. However, Dahanu lying on Western Railway about 65 kms
away is also an option.
By Road
One will find regular buses being run from Mumbai, Nashik
and Thane till Jawhar on regular basis. Both state owned as well as private
buses plies to and fro from the town.
