North Bay Island - Andaman and Nicobar Islands – India

North Bay (Coral Island) is accessible from Port Blair via ferry. The treasures of these coral islands are unforgettable. North bay is a remote island near port blair famous for it’s rich marine life and large coral reef .You will be taken to North Bay island by a ferry from Aberdeen jetty. At north bay you will go on a complimentary glass bottom boat ride , where you will see a glimpse of the islands rich marine life and exotic corals on the sea-bed.
North Bay island is a popular destination in Port Blair. The beach and the snorkeling opportunities in its fringing coral reefs are the closest ones you will find at Port Blair.
People who are interested in Snorkeling and coral view through boat bottoms can book their choices during the journey itself. The normal price is INR 50 per person per event. Additional INR 500 can be given to have snorkeling at deep see and this will be nearly 30 to 45 minutes
The corals at North Bay are rather good and spread over large area. You're very likely to spot many fish, a lobster, or even clams on the coral reef. Snacks and basic meals are available in some shacks on the beach.
The beach around Coral Island is well known for water corals. The island with pristine sand beaches, edged by natural beauty is perfect for sea loving human and nature lovers. The coral reefs are beautifully adored by nature drawing many visitors.
You can reach North Bay Island from Port Blair via ferry. The ferries leave from Marina Park Jetty and take about an hour to each the island. The ferries leave by 9:30 am in the morning and return by 3 pm in the afternoon. The main ferry is not allowed to go close to the shore as they may damage the corals. Hence, passengers are transferred to smaller boats and taken to the island. The ferry service depends on the weather conditions and if the weather conditions are rough, the services are temporarily suspended. The island is closed on Wednesday.
How to reach: 
By Air
Port Bair, is connected with Chennai, Kolkata, Visakhapatnam, New Delhi and Bhubaneshwar by air. Air India, Jet Airways, Go Air & Spice Jet Airlines operate regular flights. Foreign chartered flights are also permitted to land at Port Blair subject to the fulfillment of guidelines of the Directorate General of Civil Aviation.
By ship
Regular passenger ship services are available to Port Blair from Chennai, Kolkata and Visakhapatnam and back. There are three to four sailings every month from Kolkata and Chennai to Port Blair and vice-versa. There is only one sailing for Visakhapatnam in a month. The voyage takes about 50 to 60 hours and the ship normally berths at Port Blair for about two to four days.
