Anjuna beach - Goa - India

Anjuna beach is very popular in Goa which was made famous by the flower and power peace generation of the sixties. Now, the beach is famous for its weekly Flea market where tourists prefer to shop. Anjuna beach is located 6 km north of the Calanguate and Baga beaches and the nearest town is Mapusa which is about 2.5 km. This beach is well served by all the transportation facilities.
When it comes to planning of Goa Trip, name of Anjuna Beach comes in the list somewhere and there are different perceptions about this beach in northern part of Goa. While we were there in Goa during Monsoons, we also planned to visit it and this Photo Journey shares some of the experiences.
Anjuna is basically a village in Goa having some historical values associated.
Anjuna Beach is considered very famous for its trance parties but all this happens during the tourist season & not in Monsons. This beach attracts tourists from different parts of the world. But during monsoons, it was almost empty and there was hardly anything open if we wanted to have food or drinks. Anjuna beach also hosts the famous flea market, which happens on every Wednesday, wherein you can purchase many things.

Anjuna beach remains filled with a weird and wonderful..The village itself is certainly a bit ragged around the edges these days, but Anjuna remains a favorite of long- stayers and first-timers as well.
Anjuna is spread out over a wide area, its most northerly point being the main Starco crossroads, where most buses stop and around which many eating options are dotted, and its southernmost point is the flea market site.
