The Versova Beach is another popular beach located in Mumbai. This fascinating coast, which is a continuation of the Juhu Beach and separated by a creek, is situated in the suburbs of Andheri. 
The Versova village is home to a large community of fishing folk known as 'Kolis'. This beach/village is famous for its fish market auctions which are held every day.
Separated by huge rock boulders to keep the village safe from the sea waves and tides, the beach attracts tourists owing to its natural beauty and surreal horizon views.
The best time to visit Versova Beach is from September to May. At this time, the humidity levels are low and the weather is pleasant.

By Rail

Andheri Station is the closest local train station to Versova Beach. One can also board a train from Churchgate station to either Santa Cruz station or Ville Parle station to reach the beach.

It is convenient to arrive at Ghatkopar station and then take the metro towards Versova metro station. From Versova metro, the beach is at a walking distance.

Amboli lies in the Sahyadri hills in the Sindhudurg district of Maharashtra. It is the last hill station of Maharashtra before the plains of Goa begin and is a relatively unexplored one.
The city of Amboli was used as a staging post during the British rule for the purpose of supplying garrisons to Central and Southern India. It was during this time that Amboli was declared to be a hill station in the 1880s. The locals of Sawantwadi had discovered the marvel of this small place even before the Britishers. 
Amboli is a haven for waterfalls. The Shirgaonkar Falls, the Mahadev Falls and the Nagatta Falls are some of the numerous waterfalls that can be found here.
Being a hill station, Amboli has many viewpoints, like the Sea View Point, the Kavelsad Point, the Parikshit Point and the Mahadevgad Point. All these points offer panoramic views of the confluence of the Arabian Sea and the Konkan Coast.
Amboli receives the highest rainfalls in Maharashtra and thus remains pleasant all round the year. It attracts a lot of weekend visitors from Goa and Belgaum.

By Road
The city of Amboli is well linked by road to the major cities of Panjim, Kolhapur and Belgaum. Mumbai is around 550 km away while Pune is closer, at about 400 km. There are several state transport and private tour buses that ply from these cities and towns to Amboli. 
By Train
The Sawantwadi Railway Station is the closest station to Amboli, about 30 km away. There are plenty cabs available too help you reach Amboli from Sawantwadi, with the fare averaging to around Rs. 350. 
By Air

The Domestic Airport in Goa is around 67 km away from Amboli. This airport is in turn connected to all major cities in and around Maharashtra by daily, regular flights. The Chattrapati Shivaji Airport is the nearest International Airport, about 555 km away.

Suvarnadurg Fort that is located on a small island in the Arabian Sea, near Harnai in Konkan, along the West Coast of India, in the Indian state of Maharashtra. 
The literal meaning of Suvanadurga is Golden Fort as it was considered as the pride or the feather in the golden cap of Marathas. Built for the Maratha Navy for defense purposes, the fort also had a ship building facility.
Suvarnadurg fort is now densely occupied by the thorny trees & bushes. The Mahadarwaja of this fort is not visible until you reach very close to the fort.
 This fort is indeed one of the worth seeing forts in Maharashtra.
 This is a nice place to explore near Dapoli. If you are in Dapoli then try to visit this fort.
You can visit the fort all year round. But avoid visiting this fort during high tides & heavy rainy season. Weather generally remains clear during the months of November to May.

By BoatTo reach the fort, one has to take a boat ride from Harne village. You can reach the Suvarnadurg fort only by boats from Harne. Currently, there is no regular boat service to the fort but boats are available through the local fishermen. Every day, many tourists visit this fort by boats.
By RailKhed is the nearest railway station to reach this fort. The khed station is there on the Konkan Railway line. The distance between station & fort is 43 kms. You can hire vehicle outside the station to reach up to the fort. Auto rickshaws, jeeps & private cars are available outside the station
By RoadHarne is 230 kms away from Mumbai. Harne has good connectivity all year round to Dapoli (17 kms), Anjarle (7 kms) & Khed. Fort is 147 kms away from Ratnagiri, 187 kms from Pune and 227 kms from Kolhapur.

At a distance of 19 km from Ganpatipule and 42 km from Ratnagiri, Jaigad Fort is coastal fortification that is located near Jaigad village in Maharashtra.
The meeting point of the river Shashtri and Arabian Sea is called as the creek of Jaigad. For the protection of this creek two forts were constructed, one is Vijaygad at the north direction and the other is Jaigad at south. Situated on a cliff, Jaigad has a commanding view of the bay and the open sea. A jetty port and a lighthouse are located nearby.
It is believed that the construction of Jaigad was initiated in 14th century and completed by Sultan of Bijapur and was named after Jayba Mahar's sacrificing his life for building the fort. It was conquered by Kanhoji Angre, the commander-in-chief during Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaja's regime.
Although in ruins, most of the fort's outer wall and ramparts still intact. Spread across an expanse of 4 acres, the fort is surrounded by a moat and strong bastions on the southern end of the Jaigad stream. In the middle of the fort lies the palace of Kanhoji Angre, a Ganpati temple and three wells to store water. There is also a government rest house in the premises of Jaigad Fort. 
Now, the fort comes under the Archaeological Survey of India and most of the ruins are studied by them.

Devgad Fort is situated at the confluence of Devgad Creek and Arabian Sea. Placed strategically on a narrow strip of land jutting into the Arabian Sea.
Devgad Fort was constructed by Kanhoji Angre, the brave warrior of Konkan coast, in 1705 AD on a highland of the sea port of Devgad. It was used as a surveillance center.
Devgad Fort commands a panoramic view of the Arabian Sea as well as the casuarinas lining the long stretch of Devgad Beach. A Ganesh temple, three old cannons and a 15 m high Lighthouse are situated inside the fort and is worth a visit.
Now, only a few strips of the fortifications remain. The walls and the structures of this fort are still intact and in good condition.
The place is well known for the magical and mystical sunset that can be witnessed from the fort.
The fort offers a pleasant panoramic view of the harbor and the Arabian Sea. The best time to visit the fort is in the evenings.
How to reach
You can reach this place by train as well as road. The nearest railway stations are Nangaon and Kankavli, on Konkan Railway. You can also reach this place from Mumbai, Kolhapur and Pune via government and private operated buses. Distances: Mumbai–Devgad, 546 km; Pune – Devgad, 349.5 km and Kolhapur–Devgad , 150 km.

The Mochemad village near Vengurla is beautifully placed in the arms of several green hills and a few mountains. 
 The coastline has been strewn with Suru tree plantations. The calm sea breeze blows across the beach and the waves of the Arabian Ocean splash the beach relentlessly.

By Train : Sawantwadi Railway Station is the closest station to Malvan Jetty, lying 20 km away. It is well connected to cities like Mumbai, Pune, Goa, New Delhi and Ahmedabad. Auto-rickshaws and buses are available on route to Malvan Jetty. No taxis are available.
By Air : Dabolim airport in Goa is the nearest airport located at a distance of 135 km from the Malvan Jetty. Taxis and buses are available. One must board a ferry at Malvan Jetty to reach the Sindhudurg.

Kunkeshwar Temple is an ancient Shiva Temple which is situated in Kunkeshwar village. The temple is surrounded by a beach with a long stretch of seashore and white sand.

Bir is a small town amid mountains of Dhauladhar range of Himalayas, India and Billing is the jumping point at altitude of 9000 Ft. Para Glider jumps from Billing to land at Bir.
Bir Billing have become quite popular among adventure sports enthusiast as it offers a beautiful natural paragliding spot, favorable weather and wind along with green meadows. The place offer natural jump point at Billing and a plain landing spot at Bir and Chaughan village.
Bir was inhabited by Tibetan refugee  in the year 1960 following the exile of Dalai lama from Tibet. The area offers two beautiful monasteries and tea gardens to explore.
Billing first came into news in 1984 when an international Hang Gliding rally was organized at Billing. Now an international paragliding competition is held annually in Billing. In the month of May / June a tented colony is set up by H.P. Tourism to facilitate adventure enthusiasts. Paragliding and hang gliding enthusiasts can fly upto chamba from Billing.
On the north of Bir is Billing, a 14 km drive. It has Dharamshala towards the west and towards its North east is Manali. Billing lies on the way to the Thamsar Pass leading to Bara Bhangal.

There is no direct flight connectivity for the city of Bir. Kangra Airport, which is 67.6 km. away from the destination, is the nearest airport that connects Bir to the rest of the world. Other airports close to Bir are in Chandigarh (290 km), Amritsar airport (260 km) and New Delhi (520 km).
By Road
Regular bus services ply to and fro the city of Bir. They operate on a daily basis, whether day or night, from places like Shimla, Dharamshala, etc. You can also take shared taxis or cabs for the same route.
By Train
There is no direct rail connectivity to Bir. The nearest broad gauge station is in Pathankot, which is 112.4 km. away from Bir, while the nearest narrow gauge station is in Ahju, barely 3 km. from Bir. A toy train runs from Pathankot to Ahju.
