How ever Mumbai Central Rail Way Station is major railway station 88 KM near to Agardanda

 Amboli is a hill station in south Maharashtra that lies in the Sahayadri Hills of Western India. At an altitude of 690 meters it is the last hill station before the coastal highlands of Goa and a relatively unexplored one.
This incredibly high waterfall is surrounded by numerous other waterfalls as well, and the sight of the falling water and the surrounding greenery add to the beauty and charm of the already mesmerising place.
Amboli waterfall is three kilometers away from the main bus stop. One can take a bus or taxi to reach there from anywhere in Amboli. The waterfall is close to the road but to reach its base, one will have to trek downhill.
The Amboli Waterfall is one of the most famous tourist attractions that can be found in Amboli and is visited by numerous tourists all through the year.
Amboli receives the highest rainfall in Maharashtra and remains pleasant all around the year. The best season to visit Amboli is during the monsoon between June and August where there are heavy rains.

By Air: The nearest airport to reach Amboli would be the Dabolim Airport,Goa at 57 km or Sambre Airport, Belgaum at 70 km.
By Rail : The nearest rail heads are; Sawantwadi Road - 28 km, Kolhapur - 110 km, Sangli - 148 km, Belgaum - 70 km, and Miraj -140 km Both Sawantwadi and Belgaum are well connected with all the important rail heads from all parts of the country.
By Road : Located at a distance of 3 km from the main bus stand of Amboli. Amboli is on the SH 121 that connects Belgaum and Sawantwadi. The roads we decent in terms of the current state of State Highways, however the roads gets comparatively better on the Maharashtrain side.

Located in Sawantwadi City, Moti Lake or Moti Talao is a scenic attraction. The lake, on the foot of Western Ghats is surrounded by hills and greenery on all sides.
The Province had decided to crate two palaces for the Emperor and thus started the work of excavation which resulted in creation of this beautiful lake as a reservoir of water was created. Well, the lucky workers made a killing as they were paid or presented with Moti (Pearls) for the wonderful job done by them. So that’s how the lake came to be known as Moti (Pearl) Talav (lake).
The water sports activities such as boating, swimming and paddles, provide thrills that are unmatched. The access to the Talao is open 24 hours however it is advisable to visit during 9 am - 8.30 pm to enjoy optimum fun.
Moti Talav is a beautiful lake with a garden that reflects elegance and imperial influence. The place is a popular spot of Sawantwadi and people visit the places in large numbers to enjoy the pleasant natural surroundings.

Located at a distance of about 22.4 km from Sawantwadi, Dabolim is the nearest airport that operates as civil enclave as well as military airbase. Several air operators connect the city of Sawantwadi to different parts of the world. Cities like Mumbai, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Delhi, Chennai and Kolkata have direct flights from Sawantwadi. Taxis as well as cab facilities are available for various destinations. There are no problems as such regarding how to reach Sawantwadi.

Fort of Bankot stands in Ratnagiri at the mouth of Bankot creek, where River Savitri meets the Arabian Sea. 
Bankot creek was a major sea trade route, and the ancient caves of Dasgaon and Mandangad are the evidences of the same. Bankot fort, which has witnessed many dynasties, is also known as Himmatgad and Fort Victoria.
Situated in Bagmandala close to Diveagar about 4 km away, Bankot Fort is place for history buffs. It is said that the fort was captured by the Portuguese from Adil Shah in 1545 and was later acquired by Marathas.
The fort even today stands in its full glory though what remain of it are only its ruins. The place is also famed for an opportunity for its tourists of exploring the northern region of the bay. 
Bankot Fort that was the first residency of British raj in Southern Konkan.
Bankot is a nice place to visit in any season. The temperatures range from a minimum of 20°C and can go up to around the 34°C mark. Heavy rain & thunderstorms can be expected in monsoon season.
